Pathways to Success
Shaquandra Richardson, Career Development Coordinator at Rocky Mount High School, presents various programs, including a Firefighter Program, Culinary Arts, STEM Engineering, and Carpentry, among others. The campus also proudly hosts the Nash Community College Automotive program, supporting students as they take their first steps toward college education through tuition-free Career & College Promise (CCP) courses. Motivated by the fact that Career and Technical Education (CTE) equips students with work-ready credentials, employability, life skills, and public speaking abilities, Richardson's goal is to ensure that every graduate is not only ready for their future careers and college but also adequately prepared for life's broader challenges. Whether students aim to continue their education at community colleges, technical institutes, universities, engage in on-the-job training, join the workforce, or enlist in the military, CTE is an invaluable stepping stone towards gainful employment and responsible citizenship. She believes in the power of education to transform lives, emphasizing that the skills and knowledge gained are possessions that remain with an individual forever. #CTE #CareerDevelopmentMonth #NCPS #NashCountyPublicSchools #NCPSchools #NashCPSchools
