Nash County Public Schools School Board Appreciation Month
Tonight: Thursday, January 18, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the executive director of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, Chad Thompson, will discuss everything related to the CTE pathway and Career and College Promise Pathway at our Connect Inform Engage event at the Central office. 930 Eastern Ave, Nashville, N.C. 27856. So, why is this important for you to learn about now? Your child can take CTE courses at the middle school level and when they get to high school. Your child can also take classes that will count for college credits in high school. The future of your child's 'adult planning' starts now! CTE is a game-changer in your child's education and career path. Over 60% of students in CTE are targeting careers in fields like I.T., robotics, health science, and business, to name a few. Not only does CTE prepare students for the workforce with industry-relevant skills, but it also includes the Career College Promise, enabling students to graduate high school with significant college credits. The Career and College Promise - offered as a Junior and Senior only through the CTE pathway, is a cost-effective choice that reduces college expenses and provides a path to advanced college entry. This competitive edge often results in higher college admissions. It's an excellent opportunity for your child to stand out academically and professionally. Please message me if you have any questions. We hope to see you tonight! #CTE #ConnectInformEngage #NCPS #NCPSchools #UpcomingEvents #CareerandCollegePromise #CollegePromise
