Each tip is immediately sent to designated school leaders and, when necessary, to local 911 dispatchers, who then respond to protect student safety. This system gives our students and staff an additional research-based tool to prevent acts of violence and provide assistance to students in crisis. Say Something is intended to be used by students in grades 4-12 and by all staff, and is currently utilized by our middle and high schools. More than 5,000 schools nationwide are using this program, which is offered by Sandy Hook Promise, a national nonprofit organization. #NCPSchools #NCPS #NashCountyPublicSchools #SaySomething

A group of school librarians recently attended the NCSLMA (NC School Library Media Association) conference in Greensboro, NC, where they gained fresh insights into innovative teaching strategies and the latest resources for enhancing student literacy. School libraries play a crucial role in education by providing access to diverse learning materials, fostering a love for reading, and supporting critical thinking skills. Equipped with new approaches and resources, these librarians are now better prepared to enrich student's learning experiences, ultimately strengthening literacy and engagement across our schools and community. 📚✨ #NCPS #NCPSchools
