The North Carolina 4-Year Cohort Graduation Rate indicates the percent of 9th-grade students who graduate from high school in 4 years.

The ACT is a College Readiness test consisting of four separate exams in English, reading, mathematics and science that is administered to all 11th-grade students in North Carolina.

The North Carolina End of Grade tests are administered to all students in grades 3-5 in reading and mathematics and to 5th and 8th-grade students in science.

The North Carolina End of Course tests are administered to students enrolled in English II, Math I, Math III and Biology.
