The ECPS and NCPS Demerger/Transition Plan Team convened on Monday, October 16, for a joint meeting. They delivered presentations to the Nash County Public Schools Board of Education, Nash County Board of Commissioners, Edgecombe County Public Schools Board of Education, and Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners during the meeting. The submission of the transition plan to the state is scheduled for November 15.

Good evening Jaguar Cubs families, this is Mrs. Gorham, principal of Fairview Elementary.
Tomorrow, Monday, October 16 is our Fall Picture Day. Uniforms are not required for these pictures. These photos will also be the yearbook photos for this school year. We will begin taking pictures at 8am, so please be on time for school.
October is Bullying Prevention Month! Let's unite together to prevent bullying in our school. Unity Day is October 18, so please dress your students in orange on Wednesday Oct. 18 to send a clear message that we all stand strong against bullying.
October 19 is an early release day for students. Students will be released 2 hours early at 1pm.
Friday, October 20 is now a regular school day and is our FES Pink Out Day. We are asking that our staff and students wear pink along with your jeans and donate $1 for breast cancer awareness and research. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
Also on Friday, Oct. 20 from 6:00-8:00pm, the Fairview Fundraiser/Climate committee will sponsor a Parents Bingo Night Fundraiser. Grab your neighbor and come out ready to play Bingo and win some prizes. Students 5 years old and older can come and watch a Halloween movie while the adults play Bingo. Light concessions will be sold.
This week is jam packed with things that make this the greatest show ever. Have a great evening.
