Friday - Book Character/Letterland Day - K-2 students can dress like a Letterland Character and 3-5 students can dress like their favorite book character.
Saturday - Basketball Team plays WAVE at Nashville Elementary - Game time is 8:15 AM
4th and 5th Grade Parents, you will be receiving a letter regarding our Growing Up Classes. You must return the letter for your students to participate.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25 is our Spring Pictures and Class Pictures. Please note that if you wish to purchase a Class Picture, you must send $10 with the order form for tomorrow. Students that are taking Spring Pictures - a proof will come to the school for us to send home. You will order once the proofs come back. If you have any questions, please contact us at the school.

EES had some wonderful visitors during lunch today! We would like to thank Rocky Mount Police Department for joining us today. The students were so excited and grateful to have lunch with you all today. You can see it on all the smiling faces today.

Our PTA Fundraiser has been extended until tomorrow, Monday, February 24, 2025. Please make sure that all fundraising packets are returned tomorrow. This week is our last week of Black History Month. Our students and staff have been working on trivia all month for prizes, as well as a focus in the classroom setting. We would like students to participate if they choose to do so this week by wear the colors to celebrate Black History Month:
Monday - wear red
Tuesday - wear yellow
Wednesday - wear black
Thursday - wear green
Friday - wear African attire (or any colors from above)
This week, we also have the following: Monday, Lunch with a Cop, and All County Chorus Rehearsal, Tuesday is Spring and Class Pictures, and Thursday is our Retro Remix Rehearsal. Our basketball and cheerleading games begin this Saturday, March 1st. All games take place at Nashville Elementary School. We play at 11:15 am against Nashville Elementary.

Congratulations to our OM Team on winning 2nd Place this weekend. They will go on to compete at the state level.


Due to inclement weather, all traditional Nash County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, February 21, 2025. Staff should follow telework procedures.
All Innovative Schools, CITI High School and Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School, will operate on a remote learning schedule.
Additionally, all evening activities, including after-school care and athletics, have been canceled.

Parents - FINAL WEEK of the PTA fundraiser and we need your help!!
- Fundraiser deadline extended to Monday, February 24th. 1 week from today!
- Each class will be competing this week! The class that sells the most items this last week of the fundraiser will get a donut party and their teacher will get a $25 Amazon gift card!! **Have your child tell their teacher when they sell items!!**
- Classes must sell a minimum of 20 items as a whole to qualify for the donut party/teacher gift.
- Each student that sells 2 items this week will get a surprise Dude Perfect keychain!! **Have your child tell their teacher when they sell 2 items!!**

We are so excited for this coming week. We have All County Chorus Rehearsal on Monday. Our 5th graders will have their Life Science Benchmark on Tuesday. Wednesday we have Basketball Practice, and on Thursday, we have Basketball and Cheerleading Practice. On Friday, Progress Reports will go home. Lastly, our PTA fundraiser ends on Tuesday, February 18, which is this week..
