Nash Community College Career and College Promise Dual Enrollment 

Earn college credit, tuition-free, while in high school!  Nash Community College Career and College Promise (CCP) program offers eligible high school students the opportunity to earn a credential for employment or credits toward a college degree. In many cases, students can also earn dual credit - meeting high school graduation requirements with college courses.

Nash Community College CCP & Rocky Mount High School Steps to Enroll

  • Review eligibility requirements and instructions for new and continuing CCP students at Nash Community College College and Career Promise website.

    • See your counselor for an applications and to confirm that your are a viable canidate.

  • Students should follow the community college-specific instructions for enrollment and satisfy all Rocky Mount HS-specific steps (see below).

    • Students should contact the Ms. Pittman (spittman061@nashcc.edu), the Nash Community College Liason, after speaking with their counselor about taking CCP coursre

  • Need your transcript?

    • Students request their transcript for CCP purposes please stop by the counselors off and we will get one to Ms. Pittman for you.

  • Things to remember

    • Taking one CCP course?  You should have at least three RMHS courses.  

      • Choose a course that begins after 1:00 or is Online

    • If enrolling in two CCP courses, you'll have at least two RMHS courses.   To participate in CCP, students must be enrolled in at least 2 RMHS courses.

      • Choose courses that begin after 11am or are online if you are choosing 2 classes. 

    • You need to give yourself plenty of time to leave campus and arrive at your destination. 

      • If your courses are in-person

        • Prepare to leave RMHS immediately at the end of your scheduled RMHS courses if your courses and head to Nash Community College. This must be signed by your parent/guardian, counselor, and school administrator, and yourself.

      • If your courses are online

        • 11th graders- you will report to the computer lab (room 2212) on campus (at RMHS) and complete your online courses. This is REQUIRED!

        • 12th graders- your can leave campus with a signed early release person form. This must be signed by your parent/guardian, counselor, and school administrator, and yourself.

  • CCP Students - once you pick a pathway you need to take courses in that pathway, switching pathways could cause a delay in your enrollment in NCC courses.

  • Not sure whether or not your chosen CCP course is eligible to satisfy high school credits?

  • CCP course final grades are added to your official high school transcript after Nash Community College sends final grades to RMHS.  This process is manual and can take time.  The process will be completed before the high school class rank is updated. 

  • The student is responsible for sending Nash Community College transcripts to college admission offices. 

    • Go to Request a NCC Transcript

    • Type Nash Commuity College and click continue

    • Click order Transcript

    • Enter all personal information

    • Click continue and follow all instructions for payment
