Title 1 Parents' Right To Know

Under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), parents of students attending Title I schools have the right to know information about their child's teacher's qualifications, including whether the teacher is highly qualified. This includes the teacher's certification, degree, and field of discipline. Parents also have the right to request information about the qualifications of any paraprofessionals working with their child.
