STEM

What is STEM?
STEM education is a student-focused approach to learning that fosters innovation, critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. While rooted in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, STEM goes beyond these disciplines, offering connections and applications across all subject areas.
Vision
Nash County Public Schools will empower every K-13 student with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to solve real-world problems, innovate fearlessly, and thrive in an interconnected, technology-driven world.
Why STEM?
Students who participate in STEM gain hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world challenges. Working in collaborative teams, they engage in inquiry-driven exploration, identifying and analyzing authentic problems, design and test solutions, and refining their ideas through a model of ongoing improvement.
