Update Regarding Board of Education Meeting Recordings
Good afternoon, NCPS Media Partners and Community,
Nash County Public Schools is providing an update regarding the Nash County Board of Education Joint Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Due to the meeting location not having internet access, the meeting will not be livestreamed. However, the meeting will be recorded and uploaded to the Nash County Public Schools YouTube channel on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The meeting will be held at:
Nash County Recreation Center
981 Old White Oak Road
Nashville, NC 27856
The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. As always, Board of Education meetings are open to the public.
Once available, the recording may be viewed on the NCPS YouTube channel at:

NCPS also wants to provide an update regarding the May 4, 2026, Board of Education meeting recording. While the meeting was open to the public and attendees were able to attend in person, the recording of the meeting is unfortunately not available.
After the issue was identified, the NCPS Technology Department conducted a review of system logs and made multiple attempts to locate and recover the file. While it is believed the meeting was recorded, the review indicates the file may have been mistakenly deleted. At this time, recovery efforts have been unsuccessful.
We understand the importance of public access to Board meeting recordings and the responsibility that comes with maintaining those records. NCPS is committed to transparency, and we regret that the recording is not available.
To help prevent this from happening again, NCPS has implemented additional safeguards and revised procedures. Moving forward, Board meetings will be recorded both locally and to the cloud to provide redundancy and additional protection of meeting footage.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience and appreciate the public’s understanding as we continue to strengthen our processes.
Thank you,
Nash County Public Schools
