Each year, STEP sponsors an innovation challenge called Invention Convention. This is where middle school teams design an original invention and present it both on the competition floor and in a Shark Tank–style pitch session. 

We are proud to announce this year’s winners:
1st Place Southern Nash Middle School Team 1
3rd Place Southern Nash Middle School Team 2

Southern Nash Team 1's invention was Flexfit, and Team 2 is ProPal. We commend all participating students from Nash County Public Schools and Edgecombe County for their outstanding work and innovative spirit.
